21 Days Prayer and Fasting - Gospel of John Bible Study

As I prayed about our 2023 21-day prayer and fasting journey, I was drawn to study the gospel of John. Fasting is just a diet unless we pair it with time in the Lord's presence. With prayer, biblical meditation, and studying God's Word, we can all draw closer to the Lord and experience His Love.

Knowing, loving, and understanding Christ is the cornerstone of our faith...and our fasting.

The Gospel of John

The book of John has 21 chapters, making it ideal for a 21-day fast. But this isn't just about convenience - the gospel of John is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful books in the Bible.

This gospel was written by the disciple John, giving us a unique insight into the life of Jesus. It reveals his compassion for all people, His authority over creation, and His divinity as the Son of God. It also shows us how to experience a relationship with Jesus through faith in Him and love for others.

John's gospel is an invitation to follow Jesus and become His disciple through a loving relationship. As we take this journey together, let us keep our eyes focused on Him and invite the Holy Spirit to guide our hearts as we study the Word of God.

21 Days of Prayer, Bible Study, and Worship

As you participate in this 21-day prayer and fasting journey, I pray that your heart will be deeply transformed by the love of Jesus Christ.

For the next three weeks, set aside intentional time each day to read the scriptures, pray, and meditate on God's Word.

Each day includes a daily reading from one chapter of the gospel of John, a scripture to meditate on, and two prayers.

The first prayer topic is meant to be more personally focused, and the second is a corporate prayer of intercession. Of course, you should listen to the Lord and pray as He leads you daily.
